Little Red Wagon #352 Christmas In July Lawn Fawn Slider Card

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #352 is hosted by Sandy and it's "Christmas in July!"...Anything related to christmas   :)

So what's more appropriate than an adorable penguin skating into the holidays!!! This is another card I used my Lawn Fawn products for.  I mixed products from previous and the newest release.  The newest release has the awesome slider dies that make creating these slider cards so much earlier than before.

I started off with using the largest of the smaller set of rectangle cross stitched on a piece of watercolour card stock.  I white heat embossed snow flakes on it and them went over it with tumbled glass distress ink with my blender tool.  I stamped my sentiment with black ink as well as the ice my penguin is skating on.  I used Copic markers to colour my penguin and shade the ice a bit.  I used one of the small slider dies for one the ice so that the penguin could skate.  I also added glossy accents to the ice to make it seem icey :)   I finished off the card with adding some dew drops from Pretty Pink Posh.

Please head on over to the other LRW Girlfriends' blogs and see the wonderful projects they did for this weeks challenge.  The links for their blogs are along the sidebar of my blog.  You can also check them out on the Little Red Wagon blog and then link your projects based on the weekly challenges as well.  We love seeing your creations!!! :)

Sketch N Scrap July 20th Lawn Fawn Yay Happy Birthday Card

Hello Everyone

I made this cute birthday card using the some of the new Lawn Fawn papers, stamps and dies for this fabulous sketch by Lisa at Sketch N Scrap!!

I'm pleased with how this card turned out!  I like to try and think outside the box with sketches sometimes and see what I can come up with.  I think it's a great way to stretch those sketches and even if you see a sketch that might not appeal to you right off the bat try and think of a way that you can create something that is more your style.  Remember that sketches are there for inspiration.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #351 Lawn Fawn You Are So Cool

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #351 is hosted by Kate and she wanted "I'm Hungry" - using food in our projects. :)
For this card I used some Lawn Fawn products I had. I decided to go to a basic card design and wanted to show my cute Copic coloured popsicles.  I used a patterned paper for my background which I die cut with the largest cross stitched rectangle die.  I then used the medium scalloped border die for above and below my main section.  I popped the scallop and image/sentiment section with foam adhesive to give it some dimension.

Sketch N Scrap July 15th Sketch The Other Team Layout

Hello Everyone

Today's layout sketch is one that I designed for Sketch N Scrap!!

As usual I kept my layout pretty simple without a lot of embellishments.  I absolutely LOVE Amy Tangerine's lines and the Better Together is probably my favourite!!! I LOVE the blues and greens in this collection and have been creating a lot of layouts using them!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #350 You're A Star Distress Galaxy Background

Hello Everyone

I am hosting this week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #350.  I wanted to see stars on the girlfriends' projects!

I love all the galaxy backgrounds I have been seeing using distress inks and decided to give it a try!  I love how my background turned out!  Once my background was completely dry, I stamped some stars with my Versamark ink pad and then used white embossing powder and heat set it all.
I used the sentiment from an order Lawn Fawn stamp set (You're A Star) and white heat embossed it as well. I added the brush stroke at the last minute to give one of the stars a shooting star effect.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #349 Summertime Lawn Fawn Smile Kite Card

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #349 Summertime Theme is hosted by Donna.

Lawn Fawn's Summer Release is absolutely awesome! I love all the die sets that they have released and I knew that the kite, cloud and smile die sets were perfect for this challenge.  Kites have always been a summertime thing for me and of course your can't help but smile when you are flying a kite and it's summertime!  My background is watercolour paper with tumbled glass distress ink.  It's darker at the top and lighter as you go down.  I finished my card off with clear wink of stella and glossy accents on my kite.

Sketch N Scrap July 5th 2016 Lawn Fawn Happy Christmas Card

Hello Everyone

Today's card is my first Christmas/Holiday card of the year.  I made this card based on a card sketch I designed for the July 5th 2016 card sketch for Sketch N Scrap!!

I used all Lawn Fawn products for this card except for the red sequins.  I love the new cross-stitch rectangle dies.  You will be seeing them used on some of my future projects for sure! :)  The papers are a mix from different paper collections from Lawn Fawn.  I love that I can used and mix Lawn Fawn products together.  My images were coloured using my Copics.  I completed the card with a bit of Wink of Stella on the santa hat, present and candy cane.
