Little Red Wagon #348 Challenge Button It Up! Lawn Fawn Thanks Card

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #348 "Button It Up!" is hosted by Brenda and she wanted us to see buttons on our projects.
This was one of those challenges that had me stumped.  I haven't used buttons on my projects for a couple of years I believe and so I didn't know what I was going to do.  When Lawn Fawn came out with their new Summer 2016 product release and I saw the flower border and all the other awesome scene building dies I knew what I would do.  I have had these 'flower' buttons in my stash for years from Stamping' Up! and they fit perfectly a top the flower border.  Once I had secured the buttons to my border the card came together fairly quickly.  All the stamps, dies and card stock are from Lawn Fawn.  I absolutely love this release of theirs!  The only colouring I did on this card was the little bird and I kept it very simple.

Please head on over to the other LRW Girlfriends' blogs and see the wonderful projects they did for this weeks challenge.  The links for their blogs are along the sidebar of my blog.  You can also check them out on the Little Red Wagon blog and then link your projects based on the weekly challenges as well.  We love seeing your creations!!! :)

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Scrappin'! :)

Little Red Wagon Challenge #347 Kraft-Tastic! Lawn Fawn Have A Sweet Birthday Card

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #347 "Kraft-Tastic!" is hosted by Jan and she wanted us to use kraft paper in our projects.
I made this birthday card/gift card holder using one of my favourite Lawn Fawn stamp sets that I haven't had a chance to use a lot.  This particular card was made for a teenager who loves to bake and loves the colour purple! :)  I used my Copic markers to colour the images.  The background I used kraft card stock and die cut it with one of my favourite Mama Elephant dies.  I added my sentiment to a flagged piece of white yardstick which I used to help ground my images on the front of the card. I don't usually decorate the insides of my cards but did so for this one because the images were too cute not to use (and I ran out of room on the card front ;) !)  I also added a panel on the inside for the gift card.  I added a few heart sequins on the front to finish the card off.

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #346 is hosted by Heather and she wanted us to get into the summer travel season with "Off We Go!" - vacation themed projects. :)
I made a 3x4 Project Life filler card for the NYC trip we recently took.  I used Lawn Fawn card stock, alphabet and number dies.  The car stamp is also from a Lawn Fawn stamp set.  I coloured it with Copic markers.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #345 Tag You're It! Mama Elephant Pandamonium

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #345 is hosted by Sandy our newest Girlfriend and she wanted "Tag You're It!" - using a tag in our projects. :)
For this tag I used these adorable pandas from Mama Elephant My background is watercolour cardstock with distress inks.  I used my Molotow masking marker on my pandas and the heart before applying the distress inks with my blending sponges.  I wanted the pandas to really pop and so I went over the images with my black and white gel pens.  I added some Wink of Stella to the heart and finished this tag off with some Lawn Fawn twine.

Sketch N Scrap June 1st Layout 4 Layouts 1 Sketch

*****This is 2 of 2 posts for today.  For my Little Red Wagon post please click here******

Hello Everyone

Today's sketch is one designed by Heather from Sketch N Scrap I lived her sketch so much that I ended up creating FOUR layouts!!!! :)

I used products from Lawn Fawn (Pure Joy layout), We R Memory Keepers Notable (Good Life...layout), Shimelle True Stories (Give It A Whirl...layout) and Pink Paisley Memorandum (Friends layout).  They are all pretty simple layouts without a lot of embellishments.  The first two I used some drops of different mists on the background papers.  My fourth one I added some white molding paste using a Tim Holtz template. All are a little different but based on the sketch.

Hop on over and play along with us over at Sketch N Scrap.
We would love to see your cards and layouts creations with our Sketches!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #344 Lawn Fawn Class Of 2016 Card

******This is post 1 of 2 for today.  For my Sketch N Scrap post please click here******

Hello Everyone

Kate is hosting this week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #344.  She wanted us to 'Fit It In' - using inlaid die-cutting on our projects!

My daughter is graduating Grade 8 this year and I decided that this was the perfect time to make  her a card.  I used multiple Lawn Fawn stamp sets and dies for this card as well as their card stock and ink pads.  My blackboard (Smartboard in this day and age) is inlaid as well as the 2016.  I added some tone-on-tone stamping with the 2016 on the Sugarplum card stock with the Sugarplum ink pad.  The stamp set I used for the 2016 and 'class of' is Clark's ABCs.  I did pop up my grad cap and cute fairy.  My colouring was done using my Copic markers.  I added a sprinkling of die cut stars and finished them off with some clear Wink of Stella.  I had a great time creating this card and love how it turned out! :)
