Little Red Wagon Challenge #343 Round And Round Layout

Hello Everyone

I am hosting this week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #343.  I wanted to see circles on the girlfriends' projects!

I decided on stepping out of doing a card for this challenge and making a layout instead.  I haven't been making as many scrapbooking layouts as I used to (I was a scrapbooker first and then a card maker) and thought this would be a good challenge to do one.  I used a Scrapbook Generations sketch for this double layout while I was at a crop trying to get my scrapbooking mojo back.  I kept the layout simple as I wanted to have my photos be the main attraction.  I used all Lawn Fawn's Peace Love Joy Christmas collection from a few years ago for this project.  I cut out different sized circles with the papers and added them to my layout.  The title is made up of stamping and die cut letters.

Please head on over to the other LRW Girlfriends' blogs and see the wonderful projects they did for this weeks challenge.  The links for their blogs are along the sidebar of my blog.  You can also check them out on the Little Red Wagon blog and then link your projects based on the weekly challenges as well.  We love seeing your creations!!! :)

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Scrappin'! :)

NYC Times Square Scrapbooking Layout

Hello Everyone

Getting ready to go to NYC again and wanted to share this layout I made from our last trip there last year.  Hoping the weather is nicer this time around.  Sitting on top of those double decker tour buses is not that great when it's raining and you're not properly dressed!  The layout is a take from a sketch from a page sketch layout from Scrapbook Generations.  I made this layout using Bella Blvd's travel line from earlier this year.  I love this line and you will see more layouts with it.  The cityscape is a Mama Elephant die and I die cut it on two different shades of grey and also vellum.  I used some phrase stickers from Simple Stories and my title is a combo of AC Thickers and block letters from October Afternoon.  I finished this layout with some enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Scrappin'! :)

Little Red Wagon Challenge #342 Lawn Fawn Flowers Shaker Card

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #342 is hosted by Donna and she wanted "Bloomin' Fun" - flower themed projects. :)
I made this card by starting off with white heat embossing the flowers and leaves from Lawn Fawn's Flutter By and die cutting them with their coordinating dies.  I watercolored the flowers and leaves with some watercolour paint.  I then took a piece of mint card stock and die cut it with my Mama Elephant Sew Fancy A2 size rectangle die which gave me the holes to hand stitch all around with white thread.  I also die cut the stitched circle in the top centre with my Simon Says Stamp stitched circle die for the opening of my shaker.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant's Cross My Heart stamp set.  I added some clear, silver and white beads for the inside of my shaker.  I finished the card off with a sprinkling of moonshine sequins.

Sketch N Scrap Flashback Friday #2 Layout Amy Tangerine ...Seriously?

Hello Everyone

Today's Flashback Friday layout is another older sketch from our Sketch N Scrap archives.
This layout is very simple.  I wanted to just use paper aside from my title.  This Amy Tangerine Line (Plus One) is still one of my all time favourites.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #341 Father's Day - Mama Elephant Dad Super Hero

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #341 is hosted by Brenda and she wanted "Father's Day or masculine card" :)
For this card I used Mama Elephant Tiny Heroes set and Sketchy Letters.  My sentiment was made by adding the DAD to customize one of the sentiments in the Tiny Heroes stamp set.  I used the star cluster and individual star stamp images with red and blue ink pads from Lawn Fawn for the background. I coloured my cute super hero with my Copic markers and added him with foam tape to pop him off the card.  I added some silver star sequins inside the bullseyes and rounded the corners of my card to finish off the card.

Sketch N Scrap NSD 2016 Layout Hello San Francisco

Hello Everyone and Happy NSD 2016!

Today's layout sketch is one that I have designed for NSD 2016 for Sketch N Scrap!!
I made this layout with Stampin' Up! papers I've had for a while and love but really hadn't used yet!  Because the papers are so bright and busy I used some vellum over the red and white world map paper to mute it a bit but still see the pattern.  That is one of my favourite techniques to use when I have papers that are bold and that my photos might get lost over them.I used the Black Sketch Thickers again as part of my Title along with the script 'HELLO' die from Lawn Fawn.  My stars are also from Lawn Fawn (Puffy Stackable Stars).  The Polaroid frames are die cut with a Stampin' Up! die.  I used my EK Success film border punch for the two film strips.  Finally I did my journaling on my laptop and cut into strips.  I used small stars to emphasize my bullet point journaling.

Sketch N Scrap May 5th Card - Happy Birthday Card

Hello Everyone

I made this fun card using the some Lawn Fawn dies and Stampin' Up! papers for this sketch by Kelly at Sketch N Scrap!!

I love how this card turned out!  I like to try and think outside the box with sketches sometimes and see what I can come up with.  I think it's a great way to stretch those sketches and even if you see a sketch that might not appeal to you right off the bat try and think of a way that you can create something that is more your style.  Remember that sketches are there for inspiration.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #340 Scrapbooking Layout Not A Card

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #340 is hosted by Jan and she wanted "Anything But A Card!" - a great opportunity for me to do a little scrapbooking layout :)
I created this layout using a PageMaps sketch by Becky Fleck.  I used some Lawn Fawn products for this layout. I did some stitching around the outside of the photos and papers. I embellished the square pieces of patterned paper with stamping, star sequins and thickers and stitching. My journaling is on paper I die cut with a Lawn Fawn tag die and finished it off with some twine.  My title is made up of stamping and thickers.  I completed the layout with star sequins and spray mists.
