Lawn Fawn Merry Christmouse for Little Red Wagon Challenge #309 Embossing Folder Love

Hello Everyone

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for Little Red Wagon Challenge #309 !! :)  This week I am hosting our challenge and I wanted to see the Girlfriends using embossing folders on their cards/projects.

As card makers/papercrafters I know we usually have an abundance of embossing folder collections and thought it would be a good idea to use them especially if you're like me lately and haven't been using the numerous embossing folders I have collected over the years and can't get rid of them because I still love them and the magic that can happen to a plain piece of cardstock!

The embossing folder I chose to use for this challenge is a new one from Stampin' Up!.  It's a birch tree embossing folder.  I didn't just run it through my BigShot but added ink from one of my ink pads with a brayer on the inside of the embossing folder and then ran it with a plain piece of white cardstock.  I love how this just adds one more WOW factor.  Then all I did after that was add a couple of stitched snow hills along with some of these adorable critters from Lawn Fawn and SSS Stamptember collaboration and a few sprinkles of sequins and my card was complete.

Please head on over to the other LRW Girlfriends' blogs and see the wonderful projects they did for this weeks challenge.  The links for their blogs are along the sidebar of my blog.  You can also check them out on the Little Red Wagon blog and then link your projects based on the weekly challenges as well.  We love seeing your creations!!! :)

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Scrappin'! :)

Little Red Wagon Challenge #308 Fall

Hello Everyone! :)

Hello Everyone

It's time for the next Little Red Wagon Challenge #308 !! :)  This week Donna is hosting our challenge she wanted the Girlfriends to "Anything For Fall" - Fall themed projects!

This is the card I created for this challenge.  I had coloured and die cut a whole bunch of the feathers from Lawn Fawn's Dream stamp set a while ago and decided to use them for this card as the leaves my cute elephant from Mama Elephant could 'jump on'!!  I added a layer of vellum over my sky paper and added my sentiment with heat embossing it in white.  A few scattering of stitched clouds and sequins and my card was complete!

Lawn Fawn School Years Layout

Hello Everyone!

Today I'm sharing a layout I created about my older daughter who started her final year of school here in Canada before she starts High School next year.  This layout represents the first day of school each year from Junior Kindergarten through this year where she started Grade 8.  The interesting part of all this for me was she started her first day of Junior Kindergarten September 8th, 2006 and she started her last first day on September 8th, 2015!

I printed my photos on my HP printer at home.  The papers are from Lawn Fawn's Let's Polka collection.  I also used the Science of Love, Color My World and A Good Apple stamp sets and dies for my embellishments.  I coloured them with my Copic markers.  The frames around the smaller photos is from the #Awesome die set from Lawn Fawn as well.  To highlight where she is at now I used a bigger photo and put it in the centre of the layout.  I used Finley's ABCs and 123s for indicating the Grades she was in.

I will be putting this in her School Scrapbook Album in the front.  I think it's so great doing these types of layouts where it shows how much your child has grown.  You can do the same type of layout with birthdays, the first year of a child's life, school picture day photos, etc etc...The possibilities are endless!!

Hope I have inspired you to create a layout like this and to use Stamp sets and dies usually seen creating cards with to creating awesome layouts as well!!! :)

Thank you for stopping by and Happy Scrappin'!

Curious George Birthday Card Little Red Wagon Challenge #306 Digi Do!

Hello Everyone

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for Little Red Wagon Challenge #306 !! :)  This week Jan is hosting our challenge and it's "Digi Do!"

So for this week's card I printed off this cute Curious George digital colouring page.  I love Curious George and this challenge was the perfect excuse to print off a colouring page and colour him! :)  I shrunk it down and printed it on cardstock.  I coloured him with my Copic markers.  I used Lawn Fawn patterned paper and sentiment.  The inside of my card I used a Hero Arts stamp set with Lawn Fawn inks.
